The award ceremony will be held at COEX in Seoul on the morning of the 10th of next month, during the "2024 Korea Future Digital Innovation Fair (2024 DINNO)."
Hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) and organized by the Korea Software Industry Association (KOSA, Chairman Junhee Jo), this event marks its 8th year and has become a representative occasion for discovering innovative companies leading the digital economy of South Korea. Notably, this year, in addition to the existing MSIT Minister’s Award and Digital Platform Government Committee Chairman’s Award, three Seoul Mayor Awards were newly established, attracting more attention.
Following the first document screening and the second presentation (PT) evaluation, a total of 20 companies were honored with awards. The MSIT Minister's Award (3 recipients) went to Megazone Cloud, FORCS, and the CHA University Medical Informatics Research Center. These companies were highly praised by the judges for their market-leading products in AI, electronic documents, and medical solutions, respectively.
The Digital Platform Government Committee Chairman's Award (2 recipients) went to Monoly and VDream. Monoly was recognized for its technology that strengthens data sovereignty when using cloud services, while VDream attracted attention with its remote work system for individuals with disabilities. The newly established Seoul Mayor Awards (3 recipients) were given to CODIT, Nota, and Ellis Group. CODIT received high marks for its IT-based services related to laws and regulations, Nota for its AI optimization and lightweight technology, and Ellis for leading the field of IT education.
Additionally, the heads of eight institutions under the Ministry of Science and ICT selected eight companies as awardees: ZKRYPTO, Inzent, Yonsei University Future Campus, Shinsegiware, Deeply, Netsru, Norma, and Innogrid. The Startup Promotion Agency Director's Award was given to Clobot, a startup specializing in robot monitoring. Furthermore, the Korea Software Industry Association President's Award went to TmaxSoft, the ZDNet Korea CEO Award to S2W, and the Korea Artificial Intelligence Industry Association President's Award to Allganize Korea.
Professor Jin-ho Park of Dongguk University, who chaired the second presentation evaluation panel, stated, "Technologies and solutions suitable for digital future innovation were presented, and after intense presentations and evaluations, the results were drawn." He added, "While all presentations were excellent, we placed additional emphasis on contribution and originality among the five evaluation criteria that match future innovation to compile the results." One of the judges noted, "We prioritized evaluating the technological originality and market impact that lead industrial and societal innovation through digital means. Although some candidates have not yet achieved significant market impact, those with originality and high potential to create future innovations in the service sector were given good scores."
