zkrypto Wins Top Innovation Award for 2nd Year in a Row...'Mobile Passport' Load System Wins 2 Awards
CES 2024, the world's largest consumer electronics and information technology (IT) trade show, kicked off today (Jan. 9), with nearly 100 companies participating in the event with Web3 technologies such as blockchain and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
Web3 is a decentralized technology, which refers to a decentralized web environment where users can own and manage their personal information and data without being tied to a platform.
There were 23 Korean companies in the field of blockchain, Web3, and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), many of which attracted the attention of visitors and media for commercialization purposes.
zkrypto, which received the CES Best Innovation Award for the second year in a row for its "zkVoting Pole Station," which applies the blockchain voting system to offline environments, is one of the representatives.
Co-founded by Oh Hyun-ok, a professor of information systems at Hanyang University, and Kim Ji-hye, a professor of electronic engineering at Kookmin University, the company is considered to have world-class technology in the field of zero-knowledge proof.
Zero-knowledge proof is a technology that allows a person to prove that they have the information without providing any information to the other party in a blockchain environment.
Professor Oh referred to zkVoting Pole Station as a "secure electronic voting system.
It is a method of voting by entering the authentication number received on the mobile phone into the device in the voting station, and the voting results are encrypted with blockchain technology, free from hacking concerns.
Previously, zkrypto introduced online blockchain voting system 'zkVoting' and digital asset trading application 'Azeroth' at CES last year. At the time, it was praised by the U.S. Consumer Technology Association (CTA) as a technology that will solve the problems facing humanity.
