At the opening ceremony on the first day of the IT exhibition 'CES 2023' held in Las Vegas, USA from the 5th to the 8th, Kinsey Fabrizio, executive vice president of the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), the organizer, said, “One of the three technologies that will solve the problems facing mankind.” He cited 'zkVoting', a blockchain online voting system developed by domestic startup zkrypto. zkVoting, which won the Innovation Award in the field of cyber security, is a service jointly developed by blockchain expert Professor Oh Hyun-ok of Hanyang University (CEO of zkrypto) and system engineer Kim Ji-hye, Professor of Kookmin University (Chief Technology Director). If you select one of several candidates by clicking on it in the app, not only the identity of the voter is completely hidden through the blockchain, but the voter can also check whether their vote has been properly reflected in the ballot counting on the blockchain.

On the 16th, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups said, “Of the 20 companies around the world that received the ‘Best Innovation Award’ at CES 2023 this year, 9 are Korean companies, the most among participating countries.” It is more than (4 places).” CTA selects the best innovation award by evaluating technology, design, and innovation for innovative products around the world. This year, 23 products and 20 companies were selected from 28 innovative fields. Korea (9 companies, 12 products) won more top innovation awards than the host country, the US (4 companies, 4 products).

It is said that thanks to the Best Innovation award, the zkrypto booth was a success throughout the CES event. It is said that not only officials from the US state and Mexican governments asked if the technology could be used for referendums, but also entertainment agencies at home and abroad asked if it could be linked to idol audition voting. Kim Hyung-joon, director of zkrypto, said, “We are still in beta service with the goal of launching official service at the end of March, but we received unexpectedly great attention.” said
